1. Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data this site collects, why, and how it is handled. This site does not sell personal data.

Data we collect and why

When you contact me

This site has no forms and no accounts. If you email, call, or message me using the links on this site, I receive whatever you choose to send (for example your name, email address, or phone number) and use it only to reply and to arrange classes or performances. It is not shared with anyone or added to a mailing list without your permission.

Analytics

I use analytics tools to understand how visitors use this site so I can improve it. They collect usage data such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, approximate location (country or city), device, and browser. They are not used to identify you personally.

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4), loaded through Google Tag Manager (GTM): collects page views, session data, and interaction events. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data is processed by Google; see Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Microsoft Clarity: I partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with this website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay, to improve the site and promote my classes and performances. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of pages and online activity. This information is also used for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. Clarity masks text typed into fields by default. Scores page

The interactive scores run entirely in your browser. The sheet music, player, and sounds are loaded from this site; nothing you play, loop, or search on the scores page is sent to me or anyone else beyond the analytics described above.

Links to other sites

Links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google Photos, and my other websites take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies. Nothing from those services is embedded on this site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To ask about any of these, email donavon.lerman@gmail.com.

Data retention

Emails and messages are kept until I delete them. Analytics data is kept according to each provider's settings: Google Analytics keeps user-level data for 2 months (its default); Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days and aggregated data for up to 13 months.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when tools are added or data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.

2. Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a website. This site itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser; the cookies below come from the analytics services.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will work normally without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3. Accessibility Statement

I want this site to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology, and aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

What this site does

• Skip-to-main-content link on every page
• Descriptive alt text on images
• Logical heading order and labeled navigation
• Keyboard-operable menus and score player controls
• Layout that adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops, and respects reduced-motion settings

Known limitations

• Sheet music: the scores are drawn as graphics, so screen readers cannot read the notation itself. The title, credits, and player controls are readable. If you need a score in another format, get in touch.

The text, photos, artwork, and design of this site, and my transcriptions and arrangements on the scores page, are protected by copyright. Songs and arrangements by others are credited under each score's title; rights in the underlying music belong to their respective composers and arrangers.

• Use the scores page to practice and to teach, including in your own classes
• Quote brief passages with credit and a link back to this site

You may not:

• Copy, republish, or sell the scores, text, or images without written permission
• Scrape this site for AI training datasets
